
The housing market is strong in The Woodlands with several multiple offers. Unfortunately, as strong as the market is, sales are only up 9% in May this year over last year. The reason is because there are not enough homes on the market to sell. By zip code in The Woodlands there is a range of 2 to 4 months of supply of inventory. When the inventory is 6 months of supply or less it is called a seller’s market and above 6 it is a buyer’s market. Clearly, 2-4 months of supply shows the demand is way beyond the supply.
