
Business is certainly booming in the real estate industry. People are moving to the Woodlands/Houston area, driving up demand and limiting the housing inventory. Construction is trying to keep up- building houses as fast as possible, with those start ups selling as quickly as they are being finished. Curious as to where houses are moving the fastest?
Here are six of the hottest residential markets in and around the Houston area:
1. Cypress/Tomball (including communities: Fairfield, Village of NorthPointe, and Auburn Lakes) has had 739 annual starts and 604 annual closings in the past year.
2. Cypress-Fairbanks (including communities: Bridgeland, Towne Lake, Canyon Gate West, and Cypress Creek Lakes) has had 988 annual starts and 795 annual closings.
3. Kingwood/George Bush Intercontinental Airport area (including communities: Kingwood, Eagle Springs, Fall Creek, and Summerwood) has had 1,013 annual starts and 839 annual closings in the past year!
4. The Woodlands/Woodforest/Imperial Oaks has had 1,527 annual starts and 1,465 annual closings.
5. Sugar Land/Missouri City (including communities: Riverstone, Sienna Plantation, Shadwo Creek Ranch, and Telfair) has had 1,618 annual starts and 1,423 annual closings this past year.
6. Katy (including communities: Cinco Ranch, Cross Creeks Ranch, Aliana, Firethorne, Pine Mill Ranch, Westheimer Lakes, and Long Meadow Farms) has had 2,678 annual starts and 2,389 annual closings.
